The Arduino UNO Q is a hybrid development board combining a Qualcomm Dragonwing MPU (Linux Debian) and an STM32 MCU. With 4GB RAM and 32GB eMMC, this “dual-brain” platform is optimized for containerized apps, AI vision, and robotics. It offers the processing power of a single-board computer with the real-time precision of the Arduino ecosystem.

Dual-Brain Hybrid Architecture

The UNO Q combines two distinct processing units. The Qualcomm Dragonwing QRB2210 MPU operates as the primary computation engine, running a full Linux Debian OS to manage networking, video processing, and high-level logic. Concurrently, the dedicated STM32U585 real-time MCU handles sensors, actuators, and precise timing. This separation of duties ensures that critical motor control loops remain uninterrupted by OS background tasks, delivering industrial-grade reliability.

High-Performance AI & Vision

AI capabilities are readily accessible on this platform. With a quad-core 2.0 GHz CPU, Adreno GPU, and dual Image Signal Processors (ISPs), the UNO Q is engineered for on-device machine learning. The board supports video stream processing and AI models for tasks such as object detection and gesture recognition locally. The upgraded 4GB RAM facilitates smoother inference and enhanced performance when executing multiple models simultaneously.

Seamless Development Ecosystem

The platform offers a unified workflow for diverse development needs. The Arduino App Lab and pre-installed Linux environment enable the creation of classic Arduino Sketches for the MCU, Python scripts for the MPU, or a hybrid of both from a single interface. Development is further accelerated through pre-built AI examples, Docker and Docker Compose support, and access to a vast library of open-source software.

Expanded Connectivity & Compatibility

Maintained within the classic UNO form factor, the UNO Q ensures compatibility with a wide range of existing Arduino shields. It also features a Qwiic connector for solder-free expansion with Modulino nodes and third-party modules. With built-in Dual-band Wi-Fi 5 (2.4/5 GHz), Bluetooth 5.1, and USB-C video output, the board is fully equipped for modern IoT connectivity requirements.
